چکیده
No clear evidence shows the association between particulate matter (PM) with an aerodynamic diameter < 10 µm (PM10) and asthma control. Therefore, objective of this study was to determine PM10 A retrospective observational conducted at Airway Clinic, Chiang Mai University Hospital, Mai, Thailand, January 2010 April 2013. Various values control test (ACT) scores high low periods were analyzed. The increased monthly average level ACT score analyzed using a time series analysis. There total 1180 visits from 236 asthmatic patients. significantly lower in period compared period. Every µg/m3 increment resulted decreased lag zero one month, adjusted coefficient –0.101 (95% CI; –0.165, –0.037), p-value = 0.002 –0.079 –0.147, –0.012), 0.021, respectively. Monthly affected During air pollution period, serial assessments should be measured for early detection worsening

متن کاملEffectiveness of Metacognitive Therapy on Worry, Rumination and Asthma Control in Patients with Asthma
Introduction: Patients with asthma experience high levels of stress. Asthma is a significant health problem in most parts of the world. Psychological therapy methods can play an essential role in reducing health-related disorders such as worry, rumination, and asthma control. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of metacognitive therapy on worry, rumination, and asthma control in pat...

متن کاملPersonal exposure to particulate matter is associated with worse health perception in adult asthma.
BACKGROUND Epidemiological studies have shown positive associations between particulate matter (PM) air pollution and short-term mortality and morbidity for asthma. The hypothesis that lung inflammation is responsible for these effects has been tested in panel and controlled exposure studies in asthmatic adults, with inconsistent results. OBJECTIVES We investigated whether personal exposure t...
متن کاملIndoor particulate matter increases asthma morbidity in children with non-atopic and atopic asthma.
BACKGROUND Compared with atopic asthma, fewer environmental modifications are recommended for non-atopic asthma in children. OBJECTIVE To better understand the role of indoor pollutants in provoking non-atopic asthma, we investigated the effect of in-home particulate matter on asthma symptoms among non-atopic and atopic children living in inner-city Baltimore. METHODS A cohort of 150 childr...
